2 Gleeds projects shortlisted for the RIBA 2016 Yorkshire awards

The Royal Institute of British Architects' (RIBA) has nominated a total of 12 schemes in Yorkshire including Gleeds projects Hiscox in York and Brynmor Jones Library in Hull into the shortlist for their annual awards.

University of Hull’s Brynmor Jones Library has been recently refurbished to modernise and connect 2 buildings. In contrast, the Hiscox Building, in York is a new building influenced by the city's ancient architecture.

The RIBA’s annual design awards seek to celebrate the best examples of architectural excellence in regions around the UK. The shortlisted buildings will be visited by the judging panel in March, with the winners announced at a ceremony on 21st April at Aspire in Leeds.
