Has the construction industry engaged GenZ enough? About 18 months ago, Morgan Sindall Construction, Gleeds, and HBD decided more needs to be done.
In partnership we set about correcting that, asking six of our graduates to identify ways to attract Gen Z talent. Part of that involved external research for our now-published white paper.
We wanted to understand how these innovative ideas and policies from our Gen Z cohort would be received by a broad, diverse range of their peers, to take stock of the current perceptions of the construction and property industries.
The question of how to attract, develop, and retain a talented workforce is not a dilemma unique to businesses in the built environment. But as ways of working evolve, and with it perceptions and wants of the next generation, the importance of answering it could not be clearer.
